We welcome you to our
website, if you’re a caregiver, a family member, friend, or
neighbor who helps care for an elderly individual or person with
a disability who lives at home then this site is for you. Our
mission is to provide you with information and resources that
make your life a little easier.
"Being a caregiver for someone you love
is one of the greatest gifts you can give, but it can also be
very stressful. As you care for your loved one, there are
resources that can help and things you can do to ease the strain
on your own health and well-being"
Richard H. Carmona, M.D., M.P.H.
Surgeon General of the United States
One of the major tasks of
the caregiver is to keep track of doctors, medications,
appointments and a host of other health and medical information.
Organizing all this information can be a difficult task and
calling it up from memory during a crisis is virtually
impossible.
The product information
provided on this site is intended to help you with those tasks.
A great deal of caregiver
information is also available through the national caregivers
resources on our links page. Most of these resources are free
and provide much needed support for caregivers with a variety of
care giving resources, including where to find help, ways to
take care of yourself as well as others, joining a caregiver
support group, and many other useful resources and ideas.
